Our Story
At Rink Bakery, our story began in 1911 on Newport Street, Bolton. Back then, it was a small family bakery run by C. Cheadle & Sons, supplying fresh,
traditional loaves to local homes and businesses.
Over the decades, that little bakehouse grew into a name known across Lancashire. By the 1980s, there were shops across the region, and the Cheadle name had become a symbol of trust, quality, and proper bread.
When the business shifted to focus solely on wholesale, we renamed it after our original bakehouse and Rink Bakery Ltd was born.
Now over 100 years on, we’re still a family-run bakery. Still up early. Still doing things the right way.
Meet Robert & Rachael
Robert began his career at Rink Bakery as a baker, learning the craft hands-on and immersing himself in the long-standing traditions of the business. With a deep appreciation for quality, consistency, and the people behind the process, he quickly became a key part of the team.
Robert & Rachael became Director’s, stepping up not just to lead, but to protect and grow a Family run bakery with over a century of heritage and taken on the responsibility with genuine pride and purpose.
Today, We aim to bring a modern outlook and a baker’s mindset to the role, ensuring that Rink Bakery continues to serve its customers with the same trusted quality and honest products it’s been known for since 1911.
